Our Curriculum Overview
A Commitment to Excellence
With a deep focus on academic rigor and Islamic moral grounding, we provide our students with the tools needed to think critically, act ethically, and contribute meaningfully to society.
We believe that the formative years are the cornerstone of a child’s life. Our holistic, faith-based approach to education integrates academic rigor with Islamic ethics and social responsibility. We aim to provide a balanced education that not only prepares students for exams but equips them for the demands of life. By nurturing each child’s unique abilities and character, we foster a lifelong passion for learning and moral leadership.
IQRA'A CRECHE

Arabic and Islamic Studies
Arabic language, Qur’an memorization, Hadith, and Islamic values are the first subjects introduced to pupils in Creche One and Two. This early exposure helps to build a strong foundation in speaking Arabic, as well as developing their ability to read the Qur’an and understand simple passages in the language and Islamic etiquette and values. This approach ensures a smooth transition while strengthening their confidence and comprehension in both Arabic and other subjects.

Transitional Class
Creche Three students are referred to as a transitional class because they are introduced to a new world of conventional knowledge, alongside their existing foundation in Qur’an and Arabic language. At this stage, learning becomes broader as pupils begin to explore new subjects beyond their early studies. With introduction of English Language using Jolly Phonics and Montessori methods, along with compliance to Nigerian national education policies, Pupils are gradually introduced to basic conventional subjects, helping them build confidence, adapt to structured learning, and prepare effectively for entry into the basic classes.

Basic Classes
Basic Classes provide pupils with wide exposure to both conventional and Islamic subjects, as well as values that build confidence and overall development. At this stage, learners engage in various conventional subjects alongside Qur’an and Arabic studies, all carefully structured within their periodic timetable to ensure balanced learning.
By the time pupils reach Basic Five, they are systematically prepared and enrolled to sit for the National Common Entrance Examination. This important stage equips them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to compete successfully with their peers across the country.THE READ COLLEGE

With qualified tutors on deck, college students are engaged in a wide range of conventional subjects that gradually align with Science, Commerce, and Arts-related fields. This structured approach allows students to explore different areas of knowledge while building a strong academic foundation.
As they progress, students are given the opportunity to choose their preferred field based on their interests and proper assessment of their abilities. This guidance helps them prepare effectively for future academic and career pursuits after graduating from the college, equipping them with confidence and direction for the next stage of their lives.
Arabic and Islamic Studies Department
In addition, the College provides supportive Arabic language classes to enhance students’ ability to understand the Qur’an more effectively. Over the years, the program has produced outstanding results, including three sets of Huffaaz as of 2025. This reflects the institution’s strong commitment to nurturing students who are not only knowledgeable but also deeply rooted in Qur’anic values and character, preach it and also led Jumu'ah service on Friday.

Qur'an Department
The Qur’an program in the College is designed to deepen students’ connection with the Glorious Qur’an through structured memorization, recitation, and understanding. Students are guided by qualified instructors to perfect their Tajweed, strengthen their memorization, and develop a meaningful comprehension of the Qur’an. The program accommodates learners at different levels, offering both foundational and advanced pathways to ensure steady growth and excellence.

Practical
After the delivery of classroom theory, students are also given the opportunity to engage in practical applications of what they have learned. These practical sessions cut across all fields, including Science, Arts, and the Commercial department, allowing students to experience real-life applications of their studies.
Through these hands-on activities, students gain a deeper understanding of concepts taught in class and develop the ability to recall and apply knowledge when needed. This approach not only strengthens learning but also builds confidence and prepares students for real-world challenges.
